Social Enterprise in Tasmania

There are literally hundreds of social enterprises operating within Tasmania working in a range of industries. For the past 3 years there have been a group of organisations within Tasmania working together to raise the profile of social enterprise, identify the needs and seek opportunities to support the existing social enterprise.
The aim of this site is to provide access to resources that may be of interest while promoting activities and workshops that may assist those wishing to go down the road of social enterprise or those wanting to expand what they are already doing.

Fantastic launch of the publication, Tasmanian Social Enterprises; Capturing their stories last week in Launceston. Ben from Two Hands Coffee spoke about the importance of social enterprises that can engage, train and employ young people and his own personal experience of volunteering and then working for Two Hands. The publication is available as hard copy and also will be online soon through the Institute for Regional Development's website.
Thanks to Deputy Mayor, Alderman Jeremy Ball and all who attended the launch. The day may have been grey, but the stories were inspiring and the coffee was excellent.
